Ever been curious about the magic DJs work from the booth? Now’s your chance to dive into the action! Join our Professional Electronic Music DJ Program, sponsored by Pioneer DJ, which we’ve been perfecting since 2009.
Our inclusive 36 hour-class is fully comprehensive, and will has everyone mastering industry-standard Pioneer Nexus equipment like a pro. See how it all begun for us on the West Coast in this Billboard article.
“I needed to brush up on some production software, so I called Garnish, as they have the best instructors” – Jamie Jones
Perfect for both beginners and those who’ve dabbled at home, eager to master real-world techniques on the latest professional equipment. Taught by our superior roster of professional electronic music touring DJs, the course offers a truly personal experience, with a class size limited to just four students.
We don’t offer our DJ classes online, but we do offer DJ classes privately, one-on-one.
If you’re passionate about playing electronic music and want to learn in a friendly, inclusive environment, this is the perfect class for you!
In Portland this course is deliberately small: a handful of students, one working producer, and plenty of time on the equipment. DJing is learned hands-on at the decks, so our group DJ classes are in person only - online, we teach it one-to-one. Discover qualities that distinguish us, here.
“The Garnish DJ course gives you a full spectrum of experience from practicing your set, refining it, and then playing for an audience. The DJ course provided the knowledge and experience I needed to feel confident playing anywhere.”
Patrick Lewey
Yes - ask admissions about private instruction and we will pair you with a specialist in this subject.
Getting started, arrangement and phrasing, building a set, FX and transition tools, professional hardware and software, preparing your set, industry insight, and live streaming.
Not as a group class - DJing is learned hands-on at the decks, so our DJ classes are taught in person. Online, we teach DJing one-to-one: ask admissions about private instruction.
That is the point of it - you leave with a set that is built, prepared and mixed, and the confidence to play it.
No. You learn on professional hardware and software in class, and the course covers choosing the right setup for your own style.
The length is in the glance strip at the top of this page, and the tuition for this campus - with the registration fee and any early-booking rate - sits just above the call to action.
